Hopefully, they'll be clean already and you can satisfy your capelin cravings :-)ctlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07085376920511865444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1733544615920343276.post-49691452243702294242008-08-13T16:18:00.000-05:002008-08-13T16:18:00.000-05:00Hi!I just bought some because I was craving some. ...Hi!

I just bought some because I was craving some. I was wondering if you can tell me how you would go about cleaning them? I am assuming that I should not cut the belly open to remove the guts as the roe will all spill out.

Thanks!judyfoodiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05935711718672686144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1733544615920343276.post-57350680557067638912007-06-11T06:37:00.000-05:002007-06-11T06:37:00.000-05:00That exactly my experience too, Tita. I never get the same "finish" when I cook it on the grill, plus you're right, the fish gets injured and all the roe comes out. Kaso lang when you fry, matalsik. I've had many a blister from the spattering hot oil. But, anything for a good meal, right?ctlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07085376920511865444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1733544615920343276.post-60538837546424970782007-06-10T22:14:00.000-05:002007-06-10T22:14:00.000-05:00Hi, Chinky. My big problem with capelin fish is that when grilled, the fish sticks to the Teflon grilling iron, so it doesn't look like the one we eat at the Japanese restaurant, which is never "injured". Do you have a solution?
:-)Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18150735086184542928noreply@blogger.com
